The world was patiently waiting to see the long-awaited race between gold medal Olympian Noah Lyles and Miami Dolphins superstar Tyreek Hill. However, the race to finally prove which of the pair was truly the fastest has been canceled. In a post shared by New York Post Sports, Lyles is speaking with media and revealed that the race between him and Hill ran into some unforseen issues, and will not be moving forward."We were very deep into creating the event. In fact, it was supposed to happen this weekend," Lyles said. "Unfortunately, there were some things, complications, personal reasons that it just didn't come to pass."This is tragic news, as Hill was getting ready for his big race, and even participated in a 100-meter dash on June 13. He posted a time of 10.15 seconds, and held up a sign that said "Noah Lyles could never."Lyles did indicate the race between the pair was meant to move forward, so there could be some more hope in the future that the pair might still race. However, considering the Olympics are a year away, along with NFL training camp starting — the timing might have just not worked out for the race.Lyles won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2024, as he posted a new personal best of 9.784 in the 100-meter dash. Per the time that Hill posted above, he would have certainly not beaten Lyles. The race between Lyles and Hill was not meant to be the 100-meter, and the pair agreed to do something between 40 yards (36.6 meters) and 100 meters, which was agreed on in February. This story will be updated...
