Coleen Nolan couldn't hold back the tears on today's episode of Loose Women, after a heartwarming surprise from her children on the ITV show. The telly star is set to celebrate her 60th birthday this Wednesday, but her co-presenters decided to mark the occasion early by secretly bringing her three kids into the studio audience. Coleen, who is the only member of the Nolan sisters to be born in England, opened up about how it had been the "worst day of [her] life" until that moment, as she was confined to her dressing room all morning and even blindfolded. The emotional segment featured a blindfolded Coleen being guided onto the Loose Women set, only to be greeted by her sons Jake Roche, Shane Nolan and Ciara Fensome. It was a special moment for Coleen, who shared that it was the first time all her children had been together in the Loose Women studio. Overwhelmed with emotion, Coleen exclaimed, "Oh my God!" as she embraced her kids. "Is this why I've been kept prisoner all day? So far, I've had the worst day of my life. They literally locked me in the dressing room. 'Can I go to the toilet?' 'No.'" When quizzed if she was surprised, she responded: "Was it a genuine surprise? Are you mad? No, I always cry like this." Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks, who previously stripped off alongside Coleen for the Real Full Monty, sent a heartfelt birthday video message. "Just a quick message to say happy birthday Coleen - I hope you have a fabulous day," he expressed, reports the Mirror. "Who'd have thought a couple of years ago when you saw me naked, we would become such great friends? I hope you the best day, my love. I hope to see you soon." Touched by the gesture, Coleen responded on Loose Women: "We genuinely became best friends from that." During the same episode, Coleen and her sister Maureen Nolan, 70, opened up about their emotions following the death of their sister Linda Nolan, who died two months prior at age 65 after a battle with cancer. When asked about the significance of family during these tough times, Maureen acknowledged: "Absolutely everything, yeah." Coleen reflected: "I think it's made us appreciate that we need to make more of an effort, really, to be together." Maureen concurred: "That's what it's all about now more than anything." A visibly moved Coleen added: "Yeah, it's been hard." Earlier in the week, a confidant of Coleen shared with The Mirror that despite celebrating a significant birthday, the thoughts of her late sister Linda would be on her mind. The insider revealed: "This is a milestone birthday for Coleen, but she is still, of course, going to be thinking about her sister." A source close to Coleen revealed that the upcoming significant event would have a "bittersweet" touch for her. They shared: "Coleen is still very, very sad about losing Linda, so it's a very bittersweet moment. It's heart-breaking that Linda won't be there." Over the weekend, in honour of International Women's Day, Coleen took to Instagram to remember Linda and said: "Happy International Women's Day to all the amazing women in my life and to every other woman! Here's to lifting each other up and celebrating our power."
