He gave a great insight into his experiences at the Paris Olympics and the pride he felt on winning his medals.
Daniel also revealed how he is "no longer Olympic Champion" after losing a swimming race to a man in his 60s on holiday. He said it was not something that he would normally do because he could not call himself Olympic Champion anymore.
He told Patrick that following his success at the Paris games, he began to feel a bit of the "Olympic Blues" but has since set himself new goals as he aims to become "the best of all time" as he looks ahead to the LA Olympics.
He said that he aims to be a four time world record holder and at the next Olympics he will be on the podium alongside his twin brother Nathan, but he plans to be number one.
As the interview with Patrick finished, Daniel made the surprise announcement that he aims to beat his 800 metres freestyle short-course world record in just a few weeks at the Irish Championships in Dublin which run from April 12 to 16 at the The Sport Ireland National Aquatic Centre.
