Oregon nose tackle Jamaree Caldwell selected by LA Chargers in NFL draft

Jamaree Caldwell is staying on the West Coast. The former Oregon nose tackle was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers with the No. 86 overall pick in the third round of the NFL draft Friday night. And I want to do something else.” His four-year contract is projected to be worth $6,313,266 with a $1,231,464 signing bonus, according to OverTheCap.com. Caldwell had a career-high 29 tackles (4.5 for loss) with three pass breakups and a forced fumble last season at Oregon. Caldwell began his college career at Independence Community College in 2021 and later went to Houston for two seasons. Caldwell is the fifth Oregon player selected in this year’s draft, joining defensive tackle Derrick Harmon (No. 21, Pittsburgh Steelers), offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. (No. 29, Washington Commanders), tight end Terrance Ferguson (No. 46 overall, Los Angeles Rams) and defensive end Jordan Burch (No. 78, Arizona Cardinals).
