Victor Osimhen’s dazzling hattrick for Galatasaray didn’t just light up the Super Lig but also set off a wave of love and pride among his friends, fellow Nigerians and Super Eagles teammates.

Ighalo, now tearing it up in the Saudi Pro League and a former AFCON Golden Boot winner, was one of the first to jump on Osimhen’s victory post.
With a grin you could almost feel through the screen, he dropped fire and heart emojis, his way of saying, “You’re on fire, bro!”
Kenneth Omeruo, the dependable defender and AFCON 2013 winner, kept it cool and classic with “Na so Star Boy,” a nod to Osimhen’s shining brilliance.
Asisat Oshoala, the queen of Nigerian football, couldn’t resist either. “Ogo,” she wrote, meaning “glory” in Yoruba, her pride in her compatriot spilling over in one simple word.
Ogenyi Onazi, ever the hype man, called Osimhen “Kral” (Turkish for “King”) and tossed in three football emojis as if to say, ‘You owned that game.’
Ademola Lookman, who will be hoping to emulate his strike partner, crowned the moment with three golden crown emojis - royalty recognising royalty or as football fans will say it, real recognises real.
For Osimhen, who’s been unstoppable since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, this was more than just a hattrick.
It was a night of connection, with his football family cheering him on from afar as he fired himself to the top of the Super Lig goals chart with his 20th of the campaign.
As he held that match ball, you could almost see the shy smile of a kid from Lagos who’s making his dreams and theirs come true.
