Peter O’Mahony’s wife Jessica reveals kids’ precious birthday cake gesture that proves she is ‘lucky mummy’

JESSICA O'MAHONY revealed her kids prepared a birthday cake for her - complete with a hilarious blunder.
The mum-of-three celebrated her 38th birthday on Thursday.
She shared a pic on Instagram of her birthday cake - which happened to be a 'Colin The Catterpillar' cake - complete with candles depicting her age.
However, her kids appear to have gotten the '3' and the '8' backwards, leading to a self-aware quip from her mum.
She said: "Thanks guys. Not easy being 83..."
Nonetheless, Jess evidently appreciated the gesture, as she shared a pic of her and her kids alongside the caption "lucky mummy".
Earlier on Thursday afternoon, her rugby legend husband Peter O'Mahony posted a birthday tribute of his own.
The Ireland and Munster titan said: "Happy Birthday to my wife Jess.
"Someone who has been by my side everyday through it all & who is the best mum to our three kids."
O'Mahony has jetted off to South Africa in preparation for representing the Barbarians against the Springboks in his final game before retirement.
In his stead, Jess has stepped up to take on his gardening duties, with Peter sharing a screengrab from a greenhouse surveillance camera showing her watering the plants.
He quipped: "Glad to see you made time for watering the plants on your bday".
She responded to that in style by remarking: "Pierre gives no days off from the gardening".
It is a good thing that the mum-of-three has been helping out with the garden while her husband has been away considering the extensive work he recently finished on it.
The dad-of-three took to Instagram to outline an extensive job he had been conducting in recent weeks.
Alongside a video of the work being done, O'Mahony revealed that it had required 15 bags of manure and three TONNES of mulch.
He explained: "I’ve been planning to revamp the herbaceous planting in all 3 beds over the last few years.
"I’m happy with the structural planting now but I knew the flowering had a big refresh in it.
"Over a few weeks recently we removed all bulbs, perennial plants, plants that I had moved from pots into beds and weeds.
"We then drew up a small list of plants that we repeated in groups along the boarders.
"2 of the smaller beds are quite shaded so the planting in them is different to the long boarder witch is mostly full sun.
"We planted nearly 300 perennials and some grasses throughout the 3 beds.
"Then added lots of garden compost and 15 bags of well rotted manure followed by 3 tonne bags of mulch.
"I think what we’ve come up with now is a longer flowering period that should have interest from Spring to Autumn.
"Plan is now to do a full planting of bulbs come winter time but as of now I’m delighted with the way it’s turning out.
"I’ll keep you up dated on how it matures…!"
