Phil Mickelson is in Adelaide, Australia, for the second event of LIV Golf's 2025 season, to be played from February 14-16. Mickelson missed the league's season opener in Riyadh due to a shoulder injury, according to his X (formerly Twitter) account.The six-time major champion's presence in Adelaide was reported by Dylan Thomas, an Australian professional golfer and teaching pro. Thomas posted a video on his Instagram stories of Phil Mickelson hitting a tee shot at the Grange Golf Club, the venue for the event.Mickelson has played in the previous two editions of LIV Golf Adelaide. In 2023, he finished 16th with a score of 12-under and in 2024, he tied for 38th at 7-under.The three-time Masters Tournament winner has played in 34 individual LIV Golf events, with his best finish being a sixth place at the 2024 LIV Golf Jeddah. Mickelson has only one other top-10 finish since joining the breakaway league (2023 LIV Golf Bedminster, 1-under).Phil Mickelson has been with LIV Golf since its inaugural season (2022). At the time, he was one of the biggest names to join the league and reportedly received a $200 million signing bonus.LIV Golf Adelaide has only been held twice (2023 and 2024), but has become one of the league's flagship events due to the massive support of Australian fans. In 2024 alone, 94,000 fans attended to the Grange Golf Club to witness the victory of the All-Aussies Rippers GC team, captained by local hero Cameron Smith. The individual event was won by Brendan Steele.The 2025 season schedule will take LIV Golf to Hong Kong in three weeks and Singapore a week later.
