@Source: news18.com
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday spoke with the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Rajasthan to review the border situation and assess their states’ preparedness amid rising tensions with Pakistan.
The calls to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma came shortly after PM Modi spoke with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
During the Prime Minister’s conversation with Patel, he was briefed on the safety and security measures implemented by the state government, particularly in border districts such as Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan, and Jamnagar, Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office said.
Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat all share international borders with Pakistan, making them critical to India’s defence strategy as tensions with Islamabad escalate.
