PM Modi’s March In Photos: From Gir Safari To Spending Time With Rescued Animals At Vantara & Mauritius Visit

As March came to a close, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office on Monday shared a series of photographs highlighting his key engagements throughout the month. While the government’s Press Information Bureau (PIB) regularly updates citizens on official matters, these images offer a rare glimpse into the Prime Minister’s candid and lighter moments.
In March, PM Modi explored Gir National Park’s biodiversity and witnessed wildlife conservation at Vantara, the first-of-its-kind initiative in India, conceptualised and birthed under the passionate leadership of Anant Ambani, director on the boards of RIL and Reliance Foundation. The PM also met US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard and presented Ganga Jal.

PM Modi’s Safari In Gir National Park
On the occasion of World Wildlife Day on March 3, the Prime Minister went on a safari in Gir, Gujarat, well known as home to the majestic Asiatic Lion. He hailed the collective efforts which have ensured the steady rise in population of Asiatic Lions over the past many years. The PM also chaired the 7th meeting of the National Board for Wildlife.
PM Modi’s Vantara Visit
PM Modi visited Gujarat’s Vantara — a sprawling wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation centre housing over 1.5 lakh rescued, endangered, and threatened animals from more than 2,000 species.

The PM appreciated Anant Ambani’s Vantara initiative and said “an effort like Vantara was truly commendable”. The PM also inaugurated Vantara’s Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre.
The PM interacted with majestic creatures like Golden Tigers, Snow Leopards, and four Snow Tiger brothers rescued from a circus. He also shared moments with rescued chimpanzees, a playful Orangutan, and observed a submerged Hippopotamus and crocodiles apart from patting an Okapi, undertaking a walk among zebras, feeding a giraffe and a rhino calf that was orphaned as her mother died at the facility.
PM Modi Visits Deekshabhoomi, RSS HQ
On March 30, PM Modi visited Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur and reiterated the central government’s commitment to work even harder to realise the India which Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar envisioned.
The PM also visited Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in Nagpur and paid tributes at memorials dedicated to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, and second sarsanghchalak (chief) M S Golwalkar. Modi visited the memorial for the first time after becoming the PM.
He also met with RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and other officer-bearers in the Smruti Bhavan located at the memorial and took group pictures with them.
PM Modi In Mauritius
PM Modi was the chief guest at the National Day event of Mauritius, an island nation in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar and off the southeast coast of Africa. He was conferred with Mauritius’ highest civilian award.

During his two-day visit, the PM Modi addressed Indian diaspora in Port Louis and offered “Ganga Jal” (Ganga water) from Maha Kumbh at Ganga Talao.
PM Modi Meets New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon
PM Modi hosted New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon this month for the latter’s first visit to India. The Prime Ministers exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest and agreed to strengthen multilateral cooperation
After wrapping up official engagements, PM Modi and Luxon went to the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in New Delhi. One of photos (photo above) show the both PMs smiling as they head to the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib.
