PNG NRL Bid National Championship ignites in Port Moresby and Goroka

The highly anticipated PNG NRL Bid National Championship commenced today, electrifying rugby league enthusiasts across the nation.
The competition, aimed at showcasing and developing young talent, is being held simultaneously in Port Moresby and Goroka.
In Port Moresby, the action unfolded with Pool A matches featuring the Year 7 and 8 divisions for both boys and girls.
Teams from the National Capital District (NCD), New Guinea Islands, and Central provinces are battling it out for supremacy.
Furthermore, the Under 15 boys, Under 17 boys, and Under 18 girls divisions will also took to the field, setting the stage for an intense week of rugby league.
The championship opener in Port Moresby witnessed a thrilling clash between NCD and Central in a closely contested match, resulting in an 8-8 draw, highlighting the competitive spirit and skill on display.
Meanwhile, Pool B matches are being played in Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province, adding to the nationwide excitement.
The championship, which kicked off today, is scheduled to conclude on April 17th, promising a week of thrilling rugby league action and showcasing the future stars of Papua New Guinean rugby league.
