The premises has been in the ownership of the Lawlor family and is renowned as the 'Rugby Pub' of Kilkenny, with the property proving to be a popular meeting place for sports fans. After a period of closure, planning permission was lodged with Kilkenny County Council in 2023 and it received conditional approval last June.
