Premier League clubs 'agree major transfer window change' despite concerns

There is set to be a major change to transfer deadline day for English clubs this summer.
It has already been confirmed that there will be two transfer windows, with the first running from June 1 to June 10 to allow clubs to strengthen ahead of the Club World Cup.
Chelsea and Manchester City are among those who will be involved in the expanded 32-club tournament, while Real Madrid are hoping to complete the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold in time for him to feature.
The main window will then open on June 16 and shut on September 1, once again a couple of weeks into the new season.
However, the Daily Mail report that the Premier League and EFL have agreed to bring the transfer deadline forward to 7pm, four hours earlier than has previously been the case.
It’s believed the move is primarily aimed at helping those involved in the admin side of transfers to work more regular working hours, rather than rushing through deals in the early hours of the morning.
Should this change be made, clubs will have to submit paperwork to the FA by 7pm on deadline day in both windows.
Some clubs are said to have concerns, though, believing it hands other leagues an advantage by allowing them to do business after the window in England has closed.
Reports suggest that European leagues are also considering an earlier finish on deadline day.
There is also some frustration from clubs that they will have reduced time to complete signings and sales on what is the busiest day of the summer.
