On Tuesday evening at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh, the IPL 2025 season witnessed a momentous event. 24-year-old Priyansh Arya, one of the openers for Punjab Kings, belted out a whirlwind century off just 39 balls against Chennai Super Kings, making him the fastest uncapped player to reach a hundred in IPL history.His fiery innings, studded with seven boundaries and nine towering sixes, was a spectacle of unmatched power-hitting and calm precision under pressure. (The aggressive batter had earlier hit six sixes in an over in a domestic match.)Priyansh hails from a family rooted in education. His parents Pawan Kumar and Rajbala and his sister Sukriti are all in the teaching profession. Priyansh, though a graduate, chose a different path. From an early age, cricket was his true calling, and his family supported his passion wholeheartedly.
