Punjabi Actress Tania's Father Shot At Moga Clinic, In Critical Condition; Actress Seeks Privacy

Punjabi film actress Tania is going through a difficult time after her father, Dr. Anil Jit Singh Kamboj, was severely injured in a shocking shooting incident. On Friday afternoon (July 4), two unidentified men entered his clinic, Harbans Nursing Home in Kot Ise Khan, Moga, Punjab, and shot him at close range. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Moga, where he remains in critical condition. According to an eyewitness report to Punjab Mania, the attackers arrived on a motorcycle and pretended to be patients. "The assailants came with a plan. They approached Dr. Kamboj posing as patients, then fired at close range," confirmed the Superintendent of Police (Moga). The doctor was hit by two bullets while attending to patients. His current medical condition is still very serious. Investigation underway Police sources mentioned that Dr. Kamboj had been receiving threats in the past, although no official complaint had been filed. The authorities are now looking into all angles, including possible extortion attempts. Forensic teams have been deployed to examine the crime scene, and the area around the clinic has been sealed off. CCTV footage from nearby cameras is also being reviewed to help identify the shooters. Several police checkpoints have been set up across Moga to speed up the search. Tania asks for privacy Tania, who is widely loved for her roles in Punjabi films, addressed the situation on Instagram. In a heartfelt note, she wrote, "On behalf of Tania and family, we want to share that this is an extremely critical and emotional time for her and her family. We kindly request the media to respect their privacy and give them the space they need to process this. We urge everyone to be sensitive and refrain from speculation or creating stories around the situation. Thank you for your understanding and support." Tania is best known for her performances in Punjabi movies like Bajre Da Sitta, Sufna, Rabb Da Radio 2, Guddiyan Patole, and Oye Makhna.
