Q1 oil demand rises in Europe, IEA expects declines ahead

European oil demand grew modestly in the first quarter of 2025, supported by colder weather and a shift toward gasoline-powered vehicles, according to the International Energy Agency. Despite this early rise, overall consumption is expected to decline slightly through 2026 amid economic and structural changes.
