While some felt relief with the unexpected drop in temperature, others were stunned to see the storm blowing away their years of hardwork. Uttar Pradesh’s Noida, in Delhi’s neighbourhood, is no stranger to destruction caused by rough weather. While citizens often tend of blame the government when there’s a lapse in infrastructure, Noida is a different story here. Netizens claimed that windows and door of the flats in Noida’s JP Aman Society were “torn off” during the storm. “Homebuyers are furious, alleging extremely poor construction quality in the building of these flats,” a social media user wrote. Noida has come under scrutiny for its building standards due to several factors such as subpar construction, illegal practices, and concerns about the structural safety of high-rise buildings. Developers have sometimes been accused of using low-quality materials and ignoring proper engineering, leading to potential structural weaknesses. Furthermore, unauthorized construction and environmental norm violations have raised additional concerns about the quality and safety of buildings in the area.
