Hrithik Roshan’s father and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan recently underwent neck angioplasty and is currently recovering in a Mumbai hospital. His daughter Sunaina Roshan has now shared an update about the filmmaker’s health, and has reassured fans that her father is “completely fine now”.
Reports on the Internet claimed that Rakesh Roshan was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on July 16 following a sudden dip in health. His daughter Sunaina Roshan later confirmed the news, and provided a brief health update to Amar Ujala Digital, stating that her father had undergone neck angioplasty and is now doing well. She said that there is nothing to worry about. “Yes, papa had an angioplasty in his neck, but he’s perfectly fine now. There’s nothing to worry about. He’s resting,” Sunaina said.
According to India Forum, the family is closely monitoring his recovery, with Hrithik Roshan frequently visiting his father at the hospital. He is accompanied by his partner Saba Azad and sister Sunaina, who have also been supportive during this time. The report also states that Rakesh Roshan has been moved from the ICU to a general ward, and his condition is stable.
Rakesh Roshan is known for directing hit Bollywood movies like Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gya, Krrish, and Krrish 3. He was also a notable actor in the 1970s and 1980s, having appeared in films such as Man Mandir, Khel Khel Mein, and Khandaan.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Rakesh Roshan would pass the directorial responsibilities of Krrish 4 to his son Hrithik, who will make his directorial debut with the film. He then confirmed the same by sharing a post on Instagram that read, “Duggu 25 years back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings!”
