Football’s greatest rivalry was on show as Barça Legends faced off against Real Madrid Leyendas at the Estadio Juan Ramón Loubriel in Puerto Rico.
The El Clásico showdown ended in a draw with some of the most iconic names in football history.
Real Madrid and Barca legends
The Barça Legends, led by coach Albert Ferrer fielded a star-studded lineup featuring the likes of David Villa, Rivaldo, and Javier Saviola.
On the other side, Real Madrid Leyendas brought their talent, with names like Luis Figo and Michael Owen
Barça Legends struck first, capitalizing on a well-orchestrated move that saw Rivaldo thread a precise pass to David Villa, who calmly slotted the ball.
However, Real Madrid responded in the second half, setting up a tense finale.
Despite several close chances on both ends, the match concluded with the scoreline deadlocked and went to penalties.
This draw added another memorable chapter to the Barça Legends’ recent history against their eternal rivals.
It followed their success in Doha, where they secured a 4-2 penalty shootout victory after a 2-2 draw.
A similar event in Mumbai scheduled for April 6, 2025 with several stars such as Ronaldinho set to return.
