Tottenham need to fend off competition for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze With Heung-Min Son heading towards a potential exit in the summer, Tottenham need to bring in a quality replacement that could fill the void left behind by the South Korean. It was reported earlier that Spurs are interested in signing Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace. The England international is also keen to head for pastures new in the summer. And the Eagles are looking to recoup the £68m release clause fee for his services. Spurs are not the only ones eyeing to land the 26-year-old though, as Arsenal have also entered the fray. But, Darren Ambrose has urged the Lilywhites to turn Eze sour on the Gunners and remind him of the previous history between the pair. Speaking on talkSPORT, Ambrose said, “We need to remind him, don’t we, that Arsenal released him — released him as a kid! Those were tough times for him! He [Daniel Levy] has to pay the money. We have spoken about this, you would’ve spoken about this many times, if we want to start competing with these top teams, we’ve got to pay top wages, not just top transfer [fees].”
