Rio Ferdinand stunned by bizarre Patrice Evra verdict on Arsenal's Champions League elimination

Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has published a peculiar rant directed towards Arsenal supporters after the club suffered Champions League elimination at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain. European semi-finals are the main agenda this week with Evra's beloved Man United aiming to defeat Athletic Bilbao and make it to this season's Europa League final. But before that, the Champions League 's latest round has taken place with Inter Milan beating Barcelona and PSG defeating Arsenal over the course of two legs to reach the final. The Premier League side suffered defeats at both the Emirates Stadium and Parc des Princes in their clashes, and Evra was clearly watching on as he took to X at full-time to issue a video discussing his thoughts on Arsenal's fans. "I feel sorry for Arsenal," he said. "People are being really hard on them. I love Arteta - Mikel is a good friend. "I think people have no problem with the actual Arsenal players, people have a problem with their fans. They believe anything, you know? "I even say I'm not sure I would do business with an Arsenal fan because they will promise you a lot of things but it will never shape," Man United's former 14-time trophy-winner commented on the rival fanbase. Before the season started the Gunners were the favourites to claim the Premier League title this season but have lost out to Liverpool , now having been dumped out of Europe and all domestic cup competitions, they've gone trophy-less for a fifth year running. At this point the Frenchman's message took a strange turn. Referring to a past comment he made about Arsenal 'always waiting for next season', he continued: "We talk about the Netflix, Netflix season 21 is on it's way and they start recording, but it's you guys. "And this is banter because people will say I'm anti-Gunners - I love Arsenal and first of all, you can't hate your babies, it's impossible. "I think I define, an example is like imagine you have a good time with your wife, with your girlfriend or fiancee and you enjoy it. You enjoy it. Oh la la." For any downtrodden Gunners he added: "I'm sorry, it's not like I'm trying to create a beef with you guys but I love you. "Let's get ready for the next season and I hope for you United, Tottenham or Chelsea doesn't win a trophy this year because it's going to be terrible," and signed off with his catchphrase: "I love this game!" As well as United, Spurs are in prime position to qualify for this season's Europa League final whilst other rivals Chelsea also have one foot in the Europa Conference League final. Rio Ferdinand , who earlier had posted from a hospital bed and was absent from TNT Sports' coverage of the match in Paris, was seen in the comments section below his former Man United teammates' post. Evidently too stunned to even use any words, he replied only with two laughing emojis.
