The Ireland Women’s team kicked off their Rugby World Cup campaign in style, securing a win against Japan, and for Eve Higgins, it was extra sweet. Eve had another reason to celebrate over the weekend as she’s just welcomed a new member to the family - her little nephew! After Ireland’s first pool match in England on Sunday, Eve and her family shared a special celebration and were snapped cradling their arms. In the photo, Eve and her loved ones are all beaming smiles and she added in the caption: ‘For my new nephew Macdara. See you soon.' Macdara made his arrival just in time to see his aunt play in the World Cup and what a performance she put in on Sunday. Tipped as the breakout star of the World Cup, Eve showcased her slick footwork in the lead-up to teammate Fiona Tuite’s first-half try. This score secured Ireland the bonus point just before the break and Eve also scored Ireland’s fifth try of the game. Away from the pitch, Eve has also been putting in graft on TikTok, becoming quite the social media star with her roommate Anna McGann.
