Russia sends chilling WW3 threat to UK and claims 'British blood must be spilled'
@Source: dailystar.co.uk
Vladimir Putin's propaganda machine has launched a scathing attack on Britain, claiming that UK-supplied explosives were behind a series of high-profile killings in Russia and chillingly declaring that "British blood must be spilled" in retaliation. The allegations were aired on Russian state-controlled television, with Kremlin mouthpieces accusing British intelligence services of masterminding the assassinations of top military figures, including two generals. Despite offering no evidence, they issued a spine-chilling threat of retribution against the UK. The broadcast focused on the recent assassination of Major-General Yaroslav Moskalik, 59, who was killed by an explosion near his Moscow home as he walked past a Volkswagen Golf. General Moskalik, a key figure in military strategy often reporting directly to Putin on operations in Crimea, was specifically mentioned. The same programme also referred to the death of Lieutenant-General Igor Kirillov, 54 – a prominent expert in chemical and biological warfare taken out by a bomb last December – and Yevgeny Rytikov, 34, an electronic warfare specialist, who met his end in Bryansk earlier this month, reports the Mirror . Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared to acknowledge his country's role in recent incidents, revealing earlier this week that his intelligence head kept him informed "on the liquidation of individuals from the top command of the Russian armed forces", as reported by the Express. He succinctly expressed his thanks, stating: "Thank you for your work." On Russia-1, a state channel, staunch Putin ally Vladimir Solovyov accused Britain of providing the explosives used in recent attacks. During a discussion with munitions expert Andrei Klintsevich, Solovyov provocatively asked where the materials came from. Klintsevich, without any proof, boldly claimed: "It is all British, imported by the ton. We do realise that someone is creating a network of planted explosives, and transporting these explosives." Solovyov went on to theorise: "So someone had to smuggle it across Europe, removing it from warehouses." He then made a startling accusation, asserting that "When we say that British security services are behind every terrorist attack, it means that the blood of the British who authorise the killings on Russian territory must be spilled." In a furious tirade, he threatened: "They must realise that they will pay personally. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth." Former Russian senator Mr Klintsevich has boldly claimed that it's possible to trace the origins of explosive batches. He confidently stated: "All explosives have certain types of labelling. Each time a batch is made... it is possible to understand where it came from. I'm sure our intelligence services have long understood the source down to the factory and the year of manufacture." Meanwhile, Solovyov wrapped up his show with a chilling warning aimed at British spooks. He ominously cautioned: "If these factories blow up – as well as the headquarters of the intelligence agencies that gave the go-ahead for the terrorist attacks – they should not be surprised." While the UK Government has kept mum on the issue, Foreign Secretary David Lammy took decisive action in October 2024, slapping sanctions on three Russian outfits and a trio of top brass involved in disinformation schemes against Ukraine . Lammy slammed Putin's tactics, stating: "Putin is so desperate to undermine European support for Ukraine he is now resorting to clumsy, ineffective efforts to try and stoke unrest," and underscored Britain's unwavering opposition to such underhanded meddling. Addressing the UN General Assembly Committee on Information in May 2022, Ambassador James Roscoe lambasted Russia for its aggressive information campaigns aimed at undermining Ukrainian sovereignty and distorting the truth. He warned that such disinformation strategies could undermine public trust in both the media and international institutions.
