The altercation, which required teammates Harvey Elliott and Ibrahima Konate to intervene, comes at a critical time as the Reds prepare to defend their 1-0 first-leg advantage.
Tensions flare as Liverpool teammates clash in training
With Liverpool’s season hanging in the balance, emotions ran high during a training session, leading to a heated confrontation between Salah and Alexander-Arnold.
A video posted online by Hayters TV captured the moment, showing the England full-back clapping his hands and gesturing toward Salah, who responded aggressively.
As the exchange escalated, Salah stepped forward and gave Trent a slight push, prompting the right-back to retaliate by moving back toward the Egyptian forward.
Sensing the situation could spiral out of control, Elliott rushed in to hold back Salah, while Konate wrapped an arm around Alexander-Arnold to calm the situation. Fortunately, the clip ended with the pair walking away, seemingly avoiding any further escalation.
While training ground disputes are not uncommon, the timing of this confrontation is far from ideal. Liverpool face a season-defining Champions League second leg against PSG.
Liverpool must regroup as PSG await in high-stakes clash
Despite securing a 1-0 win in Paris, Liverpool were dominated for large spells in the first leg, with PSG registering 27 shots on goal.
The only thing that stood between them and victory was an inspired performance from Alisson and a last-gasp strike from Harvey Elliott, which punished the French giants.
Now, with Anfield set to host the return leg, Liverpool boss Arne Slot has admitted he’s having sleepless nights over the fixture. He insists his team must produce their best performance of the season to progress, knowing full well that Luis Enrique’s side will throw everything at them.
Beyond their Champions League ambitions, Liverpool are also gearing up for the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle, making this one of the most pivotal weeks of their campaign.
