Sam Thompson was seen teasing fans as he revealed he had gone on a dinner 'date', before revealing who had in fact joined him at the restaurant. Fans will be aware that Sam all but confirmed the end of his relationship with Zara McDermott during an episode of his podcast, Staying Relevant, earlier this year. The former Made In Chelsea star said to his best pal Pete Wicks in the podcast: "I've been going through some stuff," with Pete agreeing: "I didn't know you were essentially on the edge for all of Christmas . But you're here, and I didn't know if you were going to be or not. I'm glad you are here." Sam noted his Christmas "wasn't good," alluding to his and Zara's split, with Pete joking Sam used the tinsel surrounding him in what the I'm A Celebrity star described as a "Christmas tomb" to "wipe his tears," before he confirmed himself: "It was tough. I won't say too much as it's not fair on other parties, but it's been a real tough month." Sam hasn't said any more on his previous relationship but did recently poke fun at him and Pete being single. So when the I'm A Celebrity 2023 winner took to Instagram with a selfie, the caption may have taken his followers by surprise. Alongside the moody-looking snap as he looked into the camera, Sam wrote on his Instagram Story: "Waiting patiently for my date..." Soon enough, he followed-up the post with a selfie of himself beaming along Marvin Humes, with the pair becoming firm pals during their stint in the jungle for I'm A Celeb together. "He's arrived!" Sam typed alongside the photo with a face holding back tears emoji and a red love heart. JLS star Marvin then reshared the post and said: "Cheeky little Ruby on a Tuesday with my brother [red heart emoji]." It came after Sam excitedly revealed he'd once again be pulling on his football boots for Soccer Aid for UNICEF. It has been announced that the charity football match will be returning to Greater Manchester. It is set to take place on Sunday, June 15, and Manchester United's beloved home of Old Trafford with a number of famous faces already lined-up to take part, including Sam for a second year in a row. Sharing a post confirming his announcement to his Instagram Story, Sam said: "I'm just.... so.... excited!!!!!" before adding a face holding back tears emoji and a red love heart.
