The 2025 Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match between Scottland and Chicken Inn has been abandoned after crowd trouble. With the match on 0-0 and going into injury time, Scottland were awarded a penalty. The Chicken Inn players did not take kindly to the decision and refused to let the match carry on. After some haggling, the penalty seemed ready to be taken when missiles started raining from the stands. Chicken Inn goalie Donovan Bernard then refused to carry on as he feared being hit by the missiles. Police were called in to disburse the crowd. The match was eventually called off. The league confirmed the development and added, “We await the Match Commissioner and Referees reports on this matter for determination in accordance with the PSL Rules and Regulations. “Furthermore both Clubs will be requested to submit written reports on the events that transpired. “The PSL regrets any inconvenience caused to its members,stakeholders and partners.
