Society Weddings: Inside Tess O'Connor and Jordan Coghlan's Loewe scented nuptials
@Source: evoke.ie
When Tess O’Connor and Jordan Coghlan married on the sun-drenched grounds of Atzaró in Ibiza, Ireland's brides-to-be were glued. The day looked less like a destination wedding and more like a scene from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with Loewe candles on every table filling the air, it was clear no expense was spared to scent the occasion. Surrounded by olive groves, citrus trees, and friends from both sides of the Irish Sea, the couple somehow managed to make extreme luxury feel fun and carefree. Tess kept her social media followers in the loop, sharing constant updates every day before, during, and after her wedding. A virtual wedding invitation, if you will! The day unfolded across lush, scented grounds, with the TikToker walking up a wide grass aisle that looked like something straight from a movie. Speaking to EVOKE, Tess revealed that she couldn't believe the response to her wedding, ‘it’s been absolutely bizarre,' she laughed. 'It really made the whole thing feel worth it- all the blood, sweat, and tears, or whatever. And it's also been nice because we worked with really good vendors, and they’re also getting a good bit of recognition as well.' Sharing her nerves at choosing the wedding looks, Tess admitted: 'I did feel pressure around that because I’m not really a wedding dress person, but I got the wedding dress and my day-before and day-two outfits designed, and they felt so me.’ Tess wore a bespoke gown by Sharon Hoey, elegant, sculptural, and very classic- something which she knew she wanted from day one. She explained: 'I didn’t try any dresses on. I’d just seen a dress like that before, went in, and was like, this is the route we’re going down. And they made it a reality.' However, in the evening Tess changed into a hand-embellished second look from Clio Peppiatt, sourced at Annie’s Ibiza and topped with a custom headpiece by Irish designer Aisling Kavanagh. Much more on brand for the fashion content creator. Jordan wore a white suit jacket with black suit pants from Louis Copeland & Sons, while his groomsmen were suited by Patrick Sheary Menswear, a perfect nod to tradition with contemporary edge. The couple’s ceremony, led by Ibiza Celebrant, struck that rare balance between heartfelt and relaxed, with handwritten vows, light laughter, and as Tess put it, 'a constant flow of tears!' Sharing how Jordan felt about the details in the wedding, Tess added: 'We’d agreed on a budget, and once I stayed within it, how I spent it was up to me.' Green flag right there! However, one of her top tips for brides-to-be is to prioritise what you are spending your budget on. 'Ours was a destination wedding in Ibiza, and we knew that was a big ask, so we covered the wedding day and day-two events completely. 'I’d rather skip the fancy candles than have guests feel like they were forking out a fortune once they got there,' she added. The atmosphere throughout the day was guided by mega entertainers as the dancefloor was lit up by a neon Club Coghlan LED sign, and a professional DJ, band, and dancers took to the floor. As much as the couple love a fun party, that wasn't the reason behind their choice of wedding destination, Tess explained: 'We hadn't really heard of anyone doing it before, so it was something different for all of our guests.' 'We wanted people to see the Ibiza that we love so much, and some of my friends had this impression of a mental and super expensive place, but it's not all like that.' She added, before jokingly saying: 'There was a joke that Wayne Lineker was going to officiate the wedding though!' Later, as the sun dipped below the trees, Hugo Spritz's and Paloma's made the rounds and the dance floor filled with an energy that would last well into the early hours. In a full circle moment, many of their mutual friends who had been there the night Tess and Jordan met were also at the wedding. She gushed: 'He had just moved back to Dublin from the UK, where he'd played professional rugby, to care for his granddad, when we met one night in Bobby’s Bar, and so many of the friends who were there that night ended up celebrating with us at the wedding.' Florals by Bandarra Floral Workshop brought a fresh, unstructured softness to the estate: creamy blooms, wild greens, and clusters that looked plucked straight from the surrounding hills. The stationery- soft, tactile, and quietly luxe was designed by Pink Moon Designs, while a work-of-art cake by Kiss That Cake that looked straight from a rose garden before being sliced and devoured. Giving another tip for future brides, Tess urged them to delete Pinterest once they have decided on colours and themes for their wedding, saying: 'You will change your mind hundreds of times!' Sharing the highlight of the whole weekend, Tess gushed: 'We made an effort to stay together for the day because a lot of time and effort and money went into it, so I really wanted to make sure that we were super present on the day. It was just one big love bubble.' And as if her engagement ring wasn't enough, Jordan also designed a one-of-a-kind diamond pinky ring for Tess with their jeweller. She quipped: 'One (I know) of the gifts Jordan designed with our jeweller. A piece I'll cherish for life.' Tess made sure to get her new husband a special gift to mark the occasion, too, and splurged on a Cartier Roadster watch. She also added a personalised touch to the watch and got 'Until the end of time' engraved on the inside. ‘He didn’t know about it, I gave it to his best man to hand over the morning of the wedding, which was so lovely, and he did the same with my pinky ring.' ‘We also wrote each other long letters, which was really special, but a little something to mark it is always nice. I mean, we’ll be eating beans on toast for the foreseeable, but it was worth it!' she joked. While many might expect a wave of post-wedding blues, Tess revealed that she only feels a sense of comfort and gratitude. 'There’s literally nothing about the day that went wrong or that I would have changed, I couldn't have asked for anything more,' she said. Congrats on your fabulous wedding, Tess and Jordan!
