Just days before he’s set to run in the 2025 NFL Combine on Saturday, Arizona State running back and potential Pittsburgh Steelers 2025 NFL Draft target Cam Skattebo was hit with a lawsuit by a formal college teammate.
Skattebo was named as a defendant in a lawsuit filed by former Sun Devils teammate Mattheos Katergaris on Wednesday, according to a report by the Phoenix New Times.
Kategaris alleges that that Skattebo caused a golf cart accident after an Arizona State practice in 2023 that caused the offensive lineman to be injured. Kategaris, who was a walk-on from the Scottsdale area, has since left Arizona State and did not appear to play college football anywhere in 2024.
Skattebo got his name on draft boards with an incredible 2024 season. After rushing for 783 yards and nine touchdowns in 2023, he dominated those numbers in 2024, rushing 293 times for 1,711 yards to lead the Big 12 in both statistics. He scored 24 total touchdowns and also led the Big 12 in plays from scrimmage with 338.
