Swedru All Blacks extend winning streak, Sefwi All Stars beat UCC Youngsters to move out of danger in Zone Two

Top-of-the-table Swedru All Blacks registered a record fourteenth consecutive home win, beating regional rivals Soccer Intellectuals in a thrilling fixture with two unanswered goals at the Swedru Sports Stadium. The League stop scorer, Rudolf Mensah and Shadrack Arthur scored two vital second half goals to help Swedru All Blacks open up a seven-point gap atop the league table. Rudolf Mensah opened the scoring with a lovely finish in the 47th minute, while Shadrack Arthur made it 2-0 in the 87th minute.
Elsewhere, Sefwi All Stars leapfrogged UCC Youngsters to exit the relegation zone after thrashing the newcomers 3-1 on Sunday. Ebenezer Penin broke the deadlock in the 21st minute for Sefwi All Stars, followed by Eric Badu’s brilliant finish in the 29th minute, while Okrah Ebenezer made it 3-0 in the 33rd minute before Mark Morrison scored a consolation goal for visitors UCC Youngsters in the 68th minute. Sefwi All Stars are currently 12th in the league table with 32 points.
Meanwhile giants Sekondi Eleven Wise dented city rivals Rospak SC’s title ambitions after brushing them aside in a comfortable 2-0 win at the Gyandu Park. Francis Mensah gave Sekondi Eleven Wise the lead in the 59th minute before Kingsley Mensah sealed the victory for the home side with a screamer in stoppage time. Rospak SC are second in the table with 56 points after losing three of their last five games.
