Teacher fires back at sick student relationship claims with huge husband bombshell

A teacher who was accused of pursuing a sick relationship with a 15-year-old student has revealed a bombshell claim about her husband. Christina Formella, 30, claims that her husband was fully aware of the relationship between her and the 15-year-old . She added that the student was a "stalker" and that she never sent the boy any explicit messages . Formella was a girls and boy soccer coach alongside her teaching at Downers Grove South High School, just outside of Chicago, US. Bodycam footage released shows the moment Formella was arrested as she sat next to her long-term partner, Michael. Prosecutors said the teacher said she was innocent, and that many students approach her because she is "good looking." "Throughout her interview, [Formella] tried to paint [the accuser] as her 'stalker' and claimed that her husband was aware," prosecutors said in court documents obtained by the New York Post . However, it was noted that Michael told officials that it was the first time he had heard about any boys. "Oddly enough, her husband told detectives that he knows nothing about [the accuser] beyond his status as a soccer player," prosecutors added. The alleged assault took place in December 2023. However, it only came to light in March, after the mother of the student stumbled upon the messages after looking on her son's iCloud account. According to investigations, the assault happened after the student stayed behind for a private tutoring session. In the messages, Formella allegedly said she 'loves him' and 'loves having sex' with the student. The teacher has maintained that she never sexually assaulted the student and that 'everybody comes after her because she is "good-looking," according to court documents. However while she denies a relationship, Formella did say to police that she "cared too much" about the student. She then claimed the student hacked into her phone and sent the messages as a form of blackmail over her. "She claimed that one day, [the boy], had grabbed her phone unattended, had entered her passcode... had sent the message to his phone, had then deleted the message from her phone, and had saved it to his phone as blackmail," the documents said. Bodycam footage of the moment Formella was arrested was released, and she appeared to be confused as an officer approached her window and ordered her to get out, explaining: "I know you're confused, I'll explain everything to you." "Is she going somewhere" her husband asked, who was also in the car where the police approached, leading the cop to ask her to pick up her belongings and walk to the back of the vehicle.
