Despite its efforts, even former Pakistani cricketers are often seen criticising the league on national TV. During one such Pakistan Super League (PSL) match, the school teacher was filmed checking answer sheets while watching the game. When the camera zoomed in and a young spectator beside her pointed it out, she hastily shut the notebook. On April 21, 2025, Karachi Kings faced Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL. Peshawar posted 147 for 8, led by captain Babar Azam’s 46 off 41 balls. Karachi chased the target in 19.3 overs with 8 wickets down. Skipper David Warner’s 60 off 47 balls, which included 8 fours, led them to a 2-wicket victory. Earlier, a video had also surfaced of a spectator at a PSL stadium watching an IPL match instead.
