First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the rollout of the “Lab for All” medical outreach program in Teresa, Rizal on Monday, aiming to expand access to free healthcare services, consultations and medicine to underserved communities. In a social media post on Tuesday, the First Lady expressed her gratitude to the government of Rizal for supporting the program, which she said was a follow-through on the President’s earlier visit to the province.“Last week, the President visited Rizal and was deeply moved by the heartfelt welcome and the overwhelming support of the Rizaleños. He was so touched that he asked me to return and fulfill his promise to bring medical care and essential services even closer to the people,” Mrs. Marcos said. The program, formally known as “Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot para sa Lahat,” is a national government initiative aligned with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s health agenda under the “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign. It provides laboratory tests, doctor consultations and essential medicines at no cost, in coordination with LGUs and the Department of Health. The program has been rolled out in various provinces since its launch in 2023 to provide more equitable health services in line with Republic Act 11223 or the Universal Health Care Act.Meanwhile, on 6 April, Mrs. Marcos made an appearance at Couture 2026, a fashion show featuring renowned Filipino designer Michael Leyva at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City.In a social media post, she hailed Leyva’s collection, saying, “Every piece reflected the elegance, heart, and craftsmanship of Filipino talent. Congratulations, Michael, for always making us proud.”Leyva is known for his haute couture creations and has gained international recognition for showcasing Filipino artistry in fashion.
