Tom Curry is set to pip Jac Morgan to the number seven shirt for the first British & Irish Lions Test against Australia, while Hugo Keenan starts at full-back after Blair Kinghorn failed to prove his fitness, according to reports. Despite struggling to hit top form since landing in Australia Curry will wear the number seven shirt ahead of Morgan but it is unclear whether Ollie Chessum or Tadhg Beirne will start at blindside. According to MailOnline , experienced Irishman Beirne will wear the number six shirt but the Telegraph believe Chessum will be the blindside with Jack Conan at No 8. Maro Itoje captains the side and is joined in the second-row by Joe McCarthy, while Ellis Genge, Dan Sheehan and Tadhg Furlong make up a strong backrow. Behind the scrum Scotland star Kinghorn has failed to recover from a knee injury with Keenan set to start at full-back after an outstanding individual performance against the invitational AUNZ XV last weekend. Ireland wing Mack Hansen is also struggling with injury which means James Lowe and Tommy Freeman will slot into the back three alongside Keenan. With Garry Ringrose ruled out with a concussion Farrell has opted for an all-Scottish centre partnership of Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones with Bundee Aki missing out, according to reports. As predicted, Jamison Gibson-Park will wear the number nine shirt and the mercurial Finn Russell lines up at outside-half. According to reports, England legend Owen Farrell has missed out on the 23 with the versatile Marcus Smith included on the bench. But Farrell has always been a huge fan of Curry who will be tasked with disrupting the Wallabies at the breakdown in Brisbane on Saturday. “He’s (Tom Curry) a machine,” Farrell said. “His work rate, his stuff off the ball is very impressive.
