The much-awaited Hollywood horror-comedy The Parenting, featuring Lisa Kudrow and Brian Cox, will premiere on Max on March 13. The film, directed by Craig Johnson, tells the story of a young gay couple's weekend getaway that goes awry when a haunted house takes over. Johnson has earlier directed Alex Strangelove and The Skeleton Twins, among other movies. The Parenting will feature a haunted house, family madness, and a scary poltergeist. Nik Dodani and Brandon Flynn play Rohan and Josh, a young gay couple looking forward to a fun weekend getaway at a country home with their families. But their serene retreat takes an unexpected turn when they find the house is haunted by an evil spirit. Along with Kudrow and Cox, The Parenting also stars Edie Falco, Parker Posey, Dean Norris, and Vivian Bang. The script is written by Kent Sublette with Chris Bender and Jake Weiner as producers. The film is a joint venture of Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema.
