Re. Tom Groat’s letter, Let’s welcome U.S. tourists (Castanet, Feb. 20)
The only problem I see with this is the lack of accommodations in the Okanagan Valley, thanks to an over-reaching provincial government that has basically destroyed the short-term rental supply that was actually designed and implemented just for this purpose.
The tourist's may come, however, they will not return because all of the available hotels will gouge them for every dollar that can be squeezed out of them.
What a welcoming community we have become.
