Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai worked in three films – Dhoom 2 (2006), Jodhaa Akbar (2008), and Guzaarish (2010), leaving their fans drooling over their on-screen chemistry. But do you know Hrithik himself is a huge fan of the Miss World 1994 pageant title holder? In one of the videos which surfaced on Reddit, the actor can be seen proving the same. The clip was from a questionnaire session during the duo’s joint interview with Rajeev Masand for a program on CNN-IBN. The video begins with the interviewer asking Hrithik Roshan several questions about Aishwarya Rai’s filming career. Surprisingly, the actor was seen answering them correctly. The first question was heard as, “Aishwarya’s debut film was a Tamil film, Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar. What was her first Hindi release?” The actor correctly replies, “Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya.” FYI: Both Iruvar and Rahul Rawail’s Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya were released in the same year – 1997, marking her entry into the two-language film industries, respectively. Throwback to the time when Hrithik Roshan earlier used to be a huge fan of Aishwarya Rai, That’s quite impressive !! byu/IndianByBrain inBollyBlindsNGossip Next, the interviewer quizzes about the first English film starring the gorgeous actress. After accumulating his thoughts for a bit, Hrithik yet again answers correctly, Bride and Prejudice, getting an affirmative nod from her. Aishwarya played the role of Lalita Bakshi in the Indian adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, where she embodies the independent and intelligent Elizabeth Bennet. The movie, directed by Gurinder Chadha, was released in the United Kingdom on October 6, 2004 and in the United States on February 11, 2005. Following this, the interviewer asked, “In Mohabbatein, Amitabh Bachchan played Aishwarya’s father, in Khakee, he played a cop who she was deceiving, in Kyun! Ho Gaya Na… he played the uncle. In what film did Amitabh Bachchan play Aishwarya’s brother?” To this, the Koi Mil Gaya actor prompted for a hint from the actress, “Played a brother?” and she replied, “They were competitors.” Soon, Hrithik quipped with utmost confidence, “Hum Kisise Kum Nahin.” Hrithik even correctly answered Aishwarya’s on-screen character’s name in Dhoom 2 – Sunehri, adding, “Can’t forget that,” cementing his fandom for the actress. The questionnaire session ended with quizzing the Kaho Nah Pyaar Hai actor about the diva’s then-recent film release. To this, he mentioned, “Last Hindi film release was I think, one of the best performances I have seen in my life, Guru,” leaving Aishwarya saying, “Aww.” The caption alongside the video reads, “Throwback to the time when Hrithik Roshan earlier used to be a huge fan of Aishwarya Rai, That’s quite impressive!!” Soon, social media users dropped heartfelt remarks for the duo in the comment section of the post. One user said, “Bro, who wouldn’t be her fan? It’s the Aishwarya Rai. These two had the best chemistry of their career with each other in Jodha Akbar and Dhoom 2; still angry at Bhansali he wasted that in Guzarish. I wish these two come together again in sth. like ‘Something’s Gotta Give’, ‘What Women Want’ yk, older romance films.” Another stated, “Aish and Hrithik will always remain the one of the most perfectly casted couple. They just compliment each other so much.” On the work front, Aishwarya was last seen in the 2023-released Tamil movie Ponniyin Selvan: II. Meanwhile, the 51-year-old actor is filming for his upcoming movie, War 2.
