@Source: newsweek.com
Tiger Woods is a name that has always resonated with everyone, be a golf fan or not. And why not? The 15-time Major winner has revolutionized golf and grown the game worldwide.From Woods' impressive fitness regime to his record-breaking scores and tech-savvy approach, Woods has left an indelible mark on golf. Unfortunately, of late, his name has been drawing more concern than cheer from fans. The reason?Tiger's recent Achilles rupture injury dispatched any notion of his Masters return.But this was not his first injury. Woods has had a long history of getting injured, and all of it came with his dedication and sacrifices for the game. If you were to record his journey, it would be no less than a movie.And guess what? The same thing is happening this time.The 82-time PGA Tour player's story is being brought to life on the big screen by Amazon MGM films. What's more interesting is that former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama are in talks to produce the film.It all started when Kevin Cook, the award-winning author of Titanic Thompson and Tommy's Honor, published a book on the golfing legend that has inspired everybody, "The Tiger Slam."The book is dedicated to one of the greatest years in Woods' career, where he got the honorable tag of "Grand Slam" for becoming the first golfer in the modern era to hold all four majors at the same time.Nobody has been able to achieve this feat ever since. Before Tiger, Bobby Jones was the only man to do so in 1930 when he won the four majors at that time.The book also delves into Woods' struggles with injuries, providing a detailed look at the golfer's life. Reinaldo Marcus Green, known for his biographical films, is set to direct the movie. His previous projects include the 2024 film One Love about Bob Marley.More Golf: PGA Tour Pro Sinks Ace at TPC Sawgrass, Shoved into Island Green Lake
