It premiered at the Tornoto International Film Festival last September, and we're finally getting a wide release. "The Life of Chuck," based on the novella of the same name by Stephen King, is hitting theaters this June. A new teaser, featuring Tom Hiddleston in the titular role, dropped and even though it doesn't show much, it's very exciting.Read More: Remake of Stephen King's 'Cujo' Coming to NetflixThere aren't a lot of details in the trailer. A ticking clock, a star winking out, a heart monitor, and two hands embracing. We see Tom Hiddleston with something of a bittersweet smile and two younger actors seemingly playing earlier versions of Hiddleston's Charles Krantz. We hear a voice: "The universe is large and it contains multitudes, but it also contains me."It's telling that even though Stephen King is known for his many horror projects, the teaser goes out of its way to point to the prolific writer's work outside that genre. The examples of his work given are "The Shawshank Redemption," "The Green Mile," and "Stand By Me," all acclaimed and well-remembered King adaptations far from horror works like "It" and "Salem's Lot."While we don't see most of them in the teaser, "The Life of Chuck" boasts an incredible ensemble cast including Matthew Lillard ("Scream"), Karen Gillan ("Guardians of the Galaxy"), David Dastmalchian ("The Suicide Squad"), Annalise Basso ("Captain Fantastic"), Chiwetel Ejiofor ("12 Years a Slave"), Kate Siegel ("Midnight Mass"), Mia Sara ("Ferris Bueller's Day Off"), Samantha Sloyan ("Hush"), Nick Offerman ("The Last of Us"), Carl Lumbly ("Captain America: Brave New World"), Rahul Kohli ("iZombie"), Harvey Guillén ("What We Do in the Shadows"), Jacob Tremblay ("Room"), and Mark Hamill ("The Fall of the House of Usher")."The Life of Chuck" is written and directed by Mark Flanagan, who previously helmed the Stephen King adaptations "Doctor Sleep" and "Gerald's Game." He's also worked on a "Carrie" series on its way to Prime and has reportedly been working on a "Dark Tower" TV series for years."The Life of Chuck" is one of a long list of King-based projects in various stages of production. The prequel series "IT: Welcome to Derry" is on its way to HBO and "The Institute" is on its way to MGM+. "The Monkey" released recently, "The Long Walk" is being adapted, and Edgar Wright is working on a more faithful version of "The Running Man" starring Glenn Powell."The Life of Chuck" hits theaters this June.More Movies:First Look at 'Toxic Avenger' Has Fans Worried'Stranger Things' Star Sadie Sink Cast In 'Spider-Man 4
