'Tremendous Game Sense': Sourav Ganguly's X Post Lauding Ashish Nehra Goes Viral
@Source: news18.com
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly, who once led Ashish Nehra during their heydays in the Indian team, has lauded the latter for his brilliant game sense as Nehra led the Gujarat Titans to a resounding seven-wicket win against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, April 6.
Gujarat have once again set their sights on the title, as the Shubman Gill and Nehra combination has begun clicking for them after an underwhelming IPL 2024.
Ganguly was all praise for Nehra for his coaching credentials after Gujarat outclassed Hyderabad in an away game.
“Like the way Gujarat has gone about their job in IPL since the first season. There is a lot of cricket brain in their team set-up and their approach. Ashish Nehra has shown his qualities as head coach… tremendous game sense,” Ganguly tweeted on Sunday night.

Nehra has often been lauded for his coaching attributes, as the cricketers in the side enjoyed playing under him as well.
Meanwhile, Gill led by example with a classy fifty after Mohammed Siraj bowled with fire in his belly to return excellent figures of 4/17 as Gujarat crushed Hyderabad by seven wickets.
Sent at number four, Washington Sundar too showed his class with a 29-ball 49 as Gujarat registered their third victory in four outings, even as Hyderabad suffered their fourth loss in five games.
The chase of 153 was completed with as many as 20 deliveries to spare, with Gill making an unbeaten 61 off 43 balls.
Bowling first, Gujarat restricted Hyderabad to 152/8 with left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore (2/24) and pacer Prasidh Krishna (2/25) also performing well on a slow track.
Mohammed Shami (2/28) and Pat Cummins (1/26) brought Hyderabad back into the contest with their strikes as Gujarat found themselves at a tricky 16/2 in the fourth over.
Gujarat play their next match against the Rajasthan Royals on April 9 at home.
