Three matches were played in the SLFA Inc. Boys Under 12 District League competition over the weekend. The Ministry of Youth Development & Sports, National Lotteries Authority and ACADO sponsored tournament came alive on Sunday 15th June at the Corinth Playing Field. In the first match played Marchand and Babonneau played to an exciting draw. Quan Remy scored for Babonneau in the 20th min, with Tyler Mathurin equalizing shortly afterwards for Marchand, in the 25th min. Game two turned out to be an exciting affair with Central Castries getting the better of Roseau Valley. After the final whistle the score was 2 – 1 in favour of Central Castries. Scoring for the victors were Isiah Pinel 3rd and Khemar Henry 12th min, while Joel Justin pulled one back for Roseau Valley in the 29th min. In the final game, Gros Islet made light work of La Clery. Group 2 table toppers Gros Islet, saw a hat trick come from Keemany Ferdinand, his goals coming in the 2nd, 25th & 29th minutes. Kayden Prospere and Nathan Christophe contributed additional goals in the 30th and 52nd minutes respectively, defeating La Clery 5 – 0. Meanwhile, neither of the games scheduled for the Technical Centre in Grande Riviere Dennery materialised on Saturday 14th June.
