Video: CISF jawans' narrow escape as goods train rams their SUV in Rajasthan

A coal-laden goods train engine rammed into a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Bolero SUV at an unmanned railway crossing in Rajasthan on Friday. The accident occurred while the CISF personnel were patrolling inside the Suratgarh Super Thermal Power Plant.While the CISF's SUV was severely damaged, no casualties were reported. Following the incident, a hooter was sounded in the station yard, prompting an accident relief train to be dispatched from Suratgarh Railway Station. CCTV footage shows the CISF's Bolero SUV crossing the unmanned railway track, with its occupants stepping out just in time before the good train collided with the SUV.Meanwhile, senior CISF officers and personnel stationed at the thermal plant rushed to the scene.According to sources, a coal-loaded goods train was heading towards the thermal project when the accident occurred.The CISF SUV was crossing an unmanned railway crossing inside the plant when it was hit by the train’s engine.Due to the train’s slow speed and the driver applying the brake, the power engine came to a halt, preventing further damage.According to sources, the SUV was carrying a CISF sub-inspector, security personnel, and the driver at the time of the incident.The Bolero, which got stuck on the railway tracks, was removed using a hydra crane, clearing the tracks for further movement.
