Wales interim Matt Sherratt struck an upbeat tone and told his side to block out external noise following their 27-18 loss to Ireland on Saturday. The hosts were 23-point underdogs in Cardiff but looked to pull off an upset for the ages as they took an 18-10 lead at the start of the second half. It was a 15th straight test loss for Wales as they continue to plummet down the world rankings, but there was a feeling of optimism in the camp as they made things very uncomfortable for the world's second-ranked side. And sharing a video from inside the dressing room, interim coach Sherratt was upbeat. "For me, we ignore all the noise. That is what we have to do each week is go every day as hard as we can get to the weekend and try to put the game on the pitch. "We said pre-game loads of intent, emotion and ambition and I thought we showed that so from me and the rest of the staff thanks for that." Wales parted ways with Warren Gatland following a 14th straight defeat but looked reinvigorated in their match against Ireland. Leading 18-10, Ireland were forced to dig deep, with Sam Prendergast making a couple of timely tackles while Jamie Osborne scored the all-important try. Ireland were aided by their replacements, with Bundee Aki in particular standing out. Caelan Doris was out injured but will likely return for the France game in two weeks time.
