It must be a big plane to hold all these dudes
By the way, if you EVER find yourself in Amsterdam and have a chance to see this (and the other Rembrandts) in person it is SO worth the trip. This painting is huge, and the details are so amazing

Yeah, let's not crap our pants every time the military moves an asset. They move stuff ALL THE TIME.
Besides, the one thing we can know for sure is if Stinky is planning to bomb iran there will be too little planning and preparation, not a bunch of precautionary moves. He's probably be on a golf course when it happens.

Flighttracker says it went to DC on June 17 and then back to Omaha on June 18 unless I'm reading it wrong.
I don't know how routinely it goes to DC, anyone know?

Why wouldn't it pretty much always be somewhere in prooximity to POTUS? I'd think that's the kind of asset you wouldn't want to wait to shuttle in from farking OMAHA.

Exactly, on the painting front anyway. I'm partial to The Raft of the Medusa myself, Gericault not Rembrandt.
The scale of the art is astounding, personally, more satisfying than the study that is the Mona Lisa (just to further mix artists)

I saw this movie.
/Also interesting that things went nuclear first in the straight or Hormuz in the movie, with a small nuke torpedo or depth charge.

The E-4B Nightwatch can remain airborne for extended periods, capable of refueling mid-air. Protected against electromagnetic pulse attacks, and capable of surviving a nuclear blast, the plane is equipped with advanced satellite communications, shielding technologies, and can accomodate more than 100 people

Duty is split between POTUS and a flag officer (general or admiral) who has authority to act if POTUS can't be reached.
AF1 is the default plane for POTUS, and the two planes that usually act as AF1 already follow POTUS around.
Standard procedure for the past 50 years.

Arab nations in the region are testing their nuclear warning sirens and preparing to deal with fallout.
If Iran had a nuke, now would be the time they would use it. Even if they just have uranium, they can strap it to a bomb or a person and irridate an entire city, making it uninhabitable.
So yeah, Doomsday Plane.

They haven't told him yet that they want him removed to an offsite bunker if the US actually bombs Iranian sites. He'll be worried it will make him look weak if he's not standing on the front lawn making pronouncements as it happens.

When Pres Reagan went to Moscow, the E-4B was parked at Ramstein AB GE.
Somewhere in my pile o crap, I have a rather unique pic of it, from almost directly overhead. About 750-1000 ft.
