Yet, Rasmus Hojlund’s goal in the 78th minute was enough to send the home side to a key 1-0 victory. Now, returning home, Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal have plenty of pressure on the team to step up in their return home. Since winning the inaugural Nations League title in 2019, Portugal has been unable to get through to the knockout stage. For Denmark, the team that had never made it to the finals before this year, they have the confidence to make it back to the final four.
