All eyes were on Remeber Monday as he took to the stage in Basel in Switzerland to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 . The girl group is made up of friends Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele who met at school in Hampshire and went on to be West End stars. They are the first all-female British group act since Precious in 1999 and were the 8th act to perform for the international voting public on Saturday night (May 17). Remember Monday took to the stage dressed in Bridgerton-style Regency outfits, and harmonising their song What The Hell Just Happened?, a genre-shifting track which lends to their powerful voices. The trio, made up of Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele, are the UK’s first girl group entrant since 1999. They performed eighth on the bill at the event, with their song written by Danish songwriter Thomas Stengaard – who was among those who penned the 2013 Eurovision winning song Only Teardrops for his home country. Following Nemo's victory in Sweden in 2024 with the song, The Code, the 68th edition of the Contest took place in Switzerland, 36 after the legend that is Celine Dion won in 1988. After Olly Alexander's efforts in 2024 saw him finish 19th place with a total 46 points, Remember Monday finished in 19th place with a total 88 points from the jury alone after getting zero in the public vote.
