SOCCER AID 2025 is upon us as the iconic charity match returns to Old Trafford. Each year, England and World XI take to the pitch to see who will be crowned that year's winner of Soccer Aid. Who has won the most Soccer Aid matches? Soccer Aid for Unicef was started by Robbie Williams in 2006 and is the biggest celebrity charity football match in the world. At the time of writing, there have been 13 occasions that England and World XI have faced off since Soccer Aid began. The match was originally played every other year, but since 2018 it has been held annually. However, due to the global pandemic in 2020, it was held behind closed doors. England were the first winners of the tournament in 2006, but since then have only won five more times. And after the 2024 charity match at Stamford Bridge, World XI have won seven matches to England's six. What are the previous results? The England team had their work cut out in 2024 against Eden Hazard, Usain Bolt and Alessandro Del Piero - but triumphed with an impressive 6-3 win. Former Chelsea star Joe Cole started the rout in the sixth minute, before Ellen White tapped in the second. In the second half, Steven Bartlett scored twice, with Jermain Defoe and Theo Walcott also getting on the score sheet. Hazard, Del Piero and Billy Wingrove scored for the World side.
