Niall Quinn will appear on Friday's Late Late Show alongside some of Ireland's Italia 90 legends as we ring in St Patrick's weekend. Host Patrick Kielty will be on the hot seat with Quinn and a number of his World Cup teammates as they ring in St Patrick's weekend. Quinn is synonymous with Irish football, part of Ireland's 1990 and 2002 World Cup squads. By his side for his footballing journey has been wife Gillian with the pair tieing the knot in 1992. They have two children together - Aisling, born in 1994, and Mikey, born in 1997. Gillian, 53, used to work as a model and Aisling has followed in her footsteps, while Mikey is a talented GAA and soccer player. The Dubliner left school aged 14 without completing her Junior Cert, moving to England with her family. But in 2018 she graduated from The Open University in Northern Ireland, where she picked up a BSc Hons psychology degree and continued her education with a PhD course at DCU. She told the Ryan Tubridy Show on RTÉ Radio 1 that being the wife of a famous footballer meant she was embarrassed about her lack of qualifications. "There were circumstances around the family financially and otherwise that forced me to leave school and I wasn’t forced to be fair, it was just the situation we were in," she said. "When you haven’t done exams, you don’t believe you are smart at all, and when you don’t even have a Junior Cert, you go through life thinking you are a bit stupid or thick and a bit embarrassed really. "I mean I’m married to Niall and I’ve had to go to a lot of events and I got good at asking, getting the people I was sitting next to to do all the talking in case they found out."
