Here’s how it works. Comcast is releasing a new package meant for soccer fans, available starting today (August 13) for Xfinity customers. The World Soccer Ticket package combines nearly 60 channels, Peacock, and an X1 device to give you access to more than 1,500 matches from the biggest leagues around the world. It won’t come cheap, as the Xfinity website shows that World Soccer Ticket will cost $85 a month. That said, the Ticket gives you a subscription to Peacock Premium at no additional cost; currently, Peacock costs $10.99 per month. “We did the work for our customers and pulled together the most coveted leagues and tournaments – from Premier League, La Liga, and Champions League to the World Cup – and put them in one place,” said Jon Gieselman, Chief Growth Officer for Comcast, in a press release. Additionally, because of access to channels like ABC, ESPN, and Fox, you’ll also be able to watch games from other leagues, including the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, and NCAA football and basketball. For those who don’t want to use the X1 box, you can access the package via the Xfinity Stream app, which is available on supported platforms, like Apple TV, Roku, and Xumo streaming devices or your phone. According to Comcast, you’ll be using Multiview to have several games showing at the same time, plus 4K streaming and the Sports Zone, which provides live scores and schedules. If you find the package lacking a channel or channels, you can add other Xfinity packages on top of World Soccer Ticket. As mentioned, the World Soccer Ticket is available now for $85 a month.
