Barbados are the 2025 champions of the CWI Rising Stars Women’s Under 19 Cricket Championship.
Playing in a rain-interrupted final today at the Diego Martin Sporting Complex in Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados Under-19s defeated Leewards Under-19s by seven wickets via the DLS method in a match reduced to 22 overs per side.
Winning the toss and electing to bowl, the Bajan young ladies restricted Leewards to 93 in 23.3 overs, with Theanny Herbert-Mayers and Naijanni Cumberbatch snatching figures of 3-15 and 3-33 respectively.
Leewards’ skipper Jahzara Claxton top scored with 28.
In reply, Barbados reached the revised target in 12.2 overs, finishing on 72-3.
Asabi Callender top scored with 14 while Elecia Bowman added 13 not out.
