BSF Foils Another Pakistani Incursion: Intruder Shot Dead In Amritsar

Amritsar: The BSF on Monday thwarted an attempt by a Pakistani intruder to breach the India-Pakistan international border in Punjab's Amritsar. The vigilant Border Security Force (BSF) team shot the infiltrator, while he was attempting to cross into Indian territory. The incident marked the second such incident in Punjab within a week.According to BSF officials, the intruder secretly crossed the international border in the early morning hours, leveraging the undulating terrain and wheat crops in the area near Kotrazda village. However, as soon as the BSF personnel spotted the suspicious movement, they challenged the intruder, but he refused to halt, prompting the troops to open fire in self-defence.The BSF's swift and decisive action neutralised the intruder on the spot. In a similar such incident, on February 26, a Pakistani intruder was shot dead by the BSF along the border at Pathankot in Punjab. A senior official stated that the BSF's unwavering vigilance and unrelenting commitment to national security have been instrumental in foiling numerous incursions and safeguarding the nation's sovereignty.Further details regarding the incident are being awaited.
