DDG requests emergency court order against Halle BaileyOn June 4, 2025, DDG filed a motion in Los Angeles court requesting that Halle Bailey be prevented from traveling internationally with their 17-month-old son, Halo. The YouTube streamer and rapper, whose legal name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., also asked the court for a domestic violence restraining order.According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, DDG cited concerns that Bailey, 25, poses an “imminent emotional and psychological risk” to Halo. He claims Bailey made repeated threats of self-harm and suggests that taking the toddler out of the country would remove him from court protections and emergency intervention mechanisms. Also read: From mermaid to survivor: Halle Bailey seeks court protection from ex DDG in abuse allegationsThe travel restriction is reportedly tied to Bailey’s alleged plan to vacation in Italy with Halo. DDG asserts that the trip would place the child in potential jeopardy, emphasizing that international travel would limit US legal jurisdiction over urgent family matters.Allegations include threats of self-harm and past incidentsIn the motion, DDG alleges that Bailey has previously demonstrated behavior he believes could endanger their child. One incident cited involved Bailey reportedly removing his firearm from the home during an argument. He claims she was later found outside the house with the weapon and was “emotionally unwell, incoherent and potentially suicidal.”These claims follow Bailey's own legal filings in May 2025, when she was granted temporary physical and legal custody of Halo. At that time, Bailey alleged that DDG had subjected her to emotional and physical abuse, which she said created an unsafe environment for both herself and their son.A temporary restraining order issued against DDG as part of Bailey’s filing required him to maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from both Bailey and Halo. That order remained in effect until the scheduled court hearing on June 4, 2025.Also read: Diddy trial bombshell: A-list names emerge, including former president, singer and Hollywood starCustody dispute continues following 2024 breakupThe former couple, who began dating in 2022 and split in 2024, are engaged in an ongoing legal battle over custody and visitation rights. Bailey has requested that DDG not be granted visitation, though she indicated willingness for supervised visits through a professional service.Under the current court order, DDG is allowed weekly supervised visitation for six hours while Halo is in Los Angeles. Additionally, Bailey has asked the court to prohibit DDG from removing the child from Los Angeles County without prior authorization. Both parties have yet to publicly comment on the latest filings.Legal experts note that the case raises complex questions around custody, mental health, and international travel involving minors. Future court hearings will determine whether DDG’s motion for a domestic violence restraining order and travel restrictions will be granted.
